Community Groups
New event and donation funding for non-profit groups:
Is your organization planning a community event and need help to promote it? The Town of Turner Valley has adopted a new community development fund providing up to a maximum of $ 500 in funding for marketing or administrative expenses incurred by volunteer groups. An additional $300 may be available to subsidies the Flare and Derrick Community Centre rental costs. Details of the policy are available by calling the Turner Valley town office at 933-4944.
Community funding grant available from Persona:
The Persona Community Investment Program is offering up to $2,500 in funding for community based projects. The program is an economic assistance initiative, designed to assist communities fund capital works projects. Projects and programs must be of benefit to the community at large and cannot be for commercial ventures. Deadline is April 10, 2006. For more information, contact Persona at mbartels@personainc.ca.

Valley Neighbours Gardening Club:
Monthly meetings run from September to June every year, the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm at the Valley Neighbours Clubhouse in Turner Valley.
Special events such as the annual June Plant sale.
We offer great social evenings, on going seed exchange, gardening magazines, informative speakers and refreshments.

Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce:
The Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce serves the communities of Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Longview, Millarville and the surrounding area. In the Heart of the Cowboy Trail along highway 22.
Sheep Creek Arts Council:
The Sheep Creek Arts Council is a volunteer organization dedicated to the betterment of our community by providing programs to promote and develop appreciation and participation in a wide variety of the arts.
Location: Classes take place in the Sheep Creek Arts Council rooms located in Bay 1 & 2, 133 Sunset Blvd., Turner Valley.
