At the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, May 15, Council passed Bylaw 17-1068 authorizing the rates of taxation for the 2017 tax year.
For the third year, the residential mill rate will be 7.99999
The Town of Turner Valley is required to raise $2,766,111 for municipal operations and capital expenditures through taxation in 2017.
In addition to these tax dollars, the Town is legislated to collect:
- $908,993.15 on behalf of the Alberta School Foundation Fund
- $61,795.65 on behalf of the Christ the Redeemer Separate School Division; and
- $44,767.80 for the Foothills Foundation
The 2017 combined mill rate on residential property in Turner Valley is 10.42755
The 2017 combined mill rate on non-residential property in Turner Valley is 12.28557
