The Quad Regional Water Partnership (QRWP) was established in 2008 after feasibility studies determined that a regionally managed system, governed by a municipally-owned utility corporation, would be the best long-term solution for the area. The QRWP works to find sustainable water solutions for residents of Turner Valley, Black Diamond, Longview and the MD of Foothills.
The first stage of the Partnership’s long-term strategy was implemented following the June 2013 flood and connected Black Diamond to Turner Valley’s Water Treatment Plant. Further integration with Longview and the MD of Foothills are planned for the future.
Please see the Turner Valley Black Diamond Water Supply System Report for more information on the project.
