The Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool is a much-loved outdoor pool built circa 1963 and named to honour two area physicians, and brothers, Harry and David Lander. Our season runs from May to September each year, weather permitting. The pool provides countless hours of family fun, and memory-making that will last a lifetime!
Lessons and Programs
Dr. Lander Memorial Pool offers public and private swimming lessons, all season, as well as stroke improvement classes, adult swim lessons, and a variety of other aquatic programs like Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and National Lifeguard. Early morning aquasize supports all ages and fitness levels in the pool exercising to music, and specialty aquatic programs are available each year to support health, well-being and competency in the water.
Please see the 2017 Pool Information Sheet for pass details. More information on lessons, programs and hours will be posted closer to the season opening.
The Dr. Lander Memorial Pool is now closed for the 2016 season. Please check back in spring of 2017 for seasonal hours.
Fee subsidies may be available to qualifying low income families and individuals to help offset the cost of pool passes. For more information contact email@example.com or visit the Okotoks Family Resource Centre website. Please note, fees subsidies do not apply to swimming lessons or other programs.
