After the Diamond Valley Parade in Black Diamond head over to Millennium Park, centrally-located in Turner Valley’s downtown district for a petting zoo, children’s bounce houses, face painters and an artisan market.

These feature events on the first weekend in June are complemented by a variety of shops, diners and community activities in both towns.

Market Vendors

Make It. Bake It. Grow It. Sell It.

Local artisans who produce their own goods in the area, and regional non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting the community, are invited to participate in the annual market.

Volunteers

Turner Valley’s Discovery Days would not be possible without the support of volunteers! Volunteers must be over the age of 14 and must commit to attending an orientation prior to the event.

Volunteers support the event by:

  • Monitoring bounce houses and ensuring the number of children does not exceed the recommended limit for their safety;
  • Welcoming event attendees and providing directions to event attendees;
  • Circulating to support other volunteers, staff and visitors as necessary.

Sponsors

Turner Valley’s Discovery Days has plenty of opportunities for your organization to get involved through sponsorship. Contact Hazel Martin for more details.

Greening the Event

Each year the Town endeavours to make community events greener. Vendors are encouraged to use, wherever possible, locally-sourced suppliers and recyclable or biodegradable materials. Attendees are reminded to bring reusable bags, and refillable water bottles, and to make use of water stations.

Please remember to sort any waste into the proper bins – recyclables, compost or landfill waste.
